Uji Organic Houjicha Powder

Made from fine ceramic ground premium Japanese certified organic houjicha from Uji Kyoto.  This powdered tea is easily mixed into hot water as an instant tea. It is carefully ground using two types of mills to produce a fine powder texture. Roasted aroma, woody flavour, with earthy smokiness, clean, short and light finish with a lingering smokiness. Perfect for cooking and houjicha latte. A great way to get all of the nutrients of houjicha tea with less caffeine than matcha.  Unlike matcha tea, this powdered houjicha tea has a bright brown color. 

How to make:

Tea: 1.2 g or 1/2 tsp

Water: 250 mL at 90-100 °C (or cold water for iced tea)

Steep: Mix in hot or cold water with a spoon
